DuckTales (2017)

I've never seen much of the original DuckTales. It was a little before my time, and if I did see it when I was a kid, I was probably really young and don't remember it. I did, however, see a little leading up to the reboot, and I like what I did see. When I heard that it was being rebooted, I was indifferent since I didn't have any memories of the original, although I did like what we got leading up to the premiere.

In DuckTales, Donald Duck asks his Uncle Scrooge to watch over his nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie (and he later also moves in). They end up going on a number of adventures, which also includes Webby Vanderquack, who is the granddaughter of Scrooge's housekeeper, Mrs. Beakley.

I really like the art style. It was influenced by Carl Barks' Uncle Scrooge comics. I think they did a good job putting it into animation. And I do think the animation is a nice update from the original series. I enjoy the stories and humor as well.

I enjoy the characters. The nephews now have more distinct personalities and I think that was a nice touch. I'd say my favorite so far is Webby. She's different from what she was in the original. From what I have seen of the old Webby, I don't have any issues with her, but I find the new one to be more fun.

Overall, I'm really enjoying this show so far. While I still haven't seen much of the original DuckTales, I do think this is a nice update and I look forward to more.

Final score: 4/5
